I’m on a bit of a roll here, as far as strange World War II maps are concerned. Here’s another one, again from the German side, found at this page of the website of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. This map is entitled “Deutschland muss sterben” (‘Germany Must Die’), in lettering reminiscent of Hebrew script (implying of course that the Jews are behind this plan).
I can’t find a date on the map, but from the slightly panicky tone in the text, I’m guessing it dates from that phase of the war in which it was becoming quite clear even to the brainwashed German public that the Nazis were going to lose. The four figures at left are the wartime leaders of the Allied nations: Roosevelt (US), Churchill (UK) and Stalin (USSR), with a certain ‘Jew Nathan Kaufman’ thrown in to complete the idea of a worldwide Zionist plot to rule the world, or at the very least wipe Germany off the face of the earth.
“Here is the truth about the 8 Points Programme of Germany’s enemies”, the title of the white text box reads. Those points being: disarmament, expropriation, sterilisation of the Wehrmacht, sterilisation of the civilian population, slavery, dismemberment of the Reich, limitations on residency, abolition of the German language. The text in the red box at the bottom reads: “German people! Now you know what your eternal enemies and opponents have thought out for you – against their plans for your extermination, there is only one possible course of action: fight, work, win!”
Ironic how evildoers always end up accusing their opponents of the very crimes they perpetrate themselves – in this case: the Nazis’ not being able to imagine any defeat that would not equal the systematic extermination of Germany and the Germans. The map shows in thin lines the pre-war borders, and in thick black lines the supposed plan to annihilate Germany by letting the neighbours each annex their share of the Fatherland.
Poland in actual fact did move westward after the war, but not as far as this map shows.
The Czechs contented themselves with regaining Sudetenland after the war, and didn’t march into Austria, Saxony and Silesia, as shown in this map.
Unless my eyes are very mistaken, in this scenario even the neutral Swiss seem to be grabbing their little piece of Germany and pre-war Austria.
And the French gobble up most of southern Germany, up to and including the entire state of Bavaria, making France a neighbour of ‘Czechia’.
Belgium seems to use the post-war confusion to annex Luxembourg and southern parts of the Netherlands, as well as a band of German territory along its border.
The greatest winner would appear to be Holland (i.e. the Netherlands), which would gain the most territory relative to its pre-war size by annexing most of northern Germany, giving it the seaports of Bremen and Hamburg, and access to the Baltic.
Denmark would move south a bit, annexing most of Schleswig-Holstein (see this earlier post about the definitions of Jutland).

I was wondering why the map was in English, so I followed the source link. Apparently, Kaufman wrote and self-published a book called Germany Must Perish in 1941. His proposals included sterilizing every German and dividing up the country. The map was taken directly from his book. Amazing what sort of intelligence gathering the Nazis must have had to find such an obscure book for propaganda purposes.

I’ve found more info on Nathan Kaufman on this site (http://www.h-ref.de/feindbilder/juedische-kriegserklaerungen/germany-must-perish.php). However, the text is in German. A short summary:
* His real name was Theodore N. (Newman) Kaufman. He was presented in the Nazi press as ‘Nathan’ Kaufman to make him sound even more Jewish.
* Kaufman did indeed write a treatise entitled ‘Germany Must Perish’, in which he proposes sterilising all Germans. This book came to the attention of the Nazi propaganda machine in 1941, and was milked for maximum effect (even to this day, by the extreme right-wing).
* As great as Kaufman’s book’s impact was on the Nazi propaganda machine, so small was its effect on Allied thinking about a post-war Germany. Although the Nazis claimed Kaufman was a close aide of president Roosevelt, in actual fact there is not even the slightest hint that Roosevelt knew about Kaufman at all. The Nazis presented him as president of a so-called ‘American Federation of Peace’, while in reality he was not a known member of any Jewish or anti-German organisation. He was, to use a beautiful German word, a typical ‘Einzelgänger’.

For the swiss part: it was not that out-of-the world, because what you see is Vorarlberg. They voted to be part of Switzerland in 1918:
“In a referendum held in Vorarlberg on 11 May 1919 over 80% of those voting supported a proposal that the state should join the Swiss Confederation. However, this was prevented by the opposition of the Austrian Government, the Allies, Swiss liberals, the Swiss-Italians and the Swiss-French.[1] There are approximately 352,000 inhabitants in Vorarlberg’s 96 municipalities.”

Curious that the map has Belgium expanding to the north as well as east. Also interesting, is this the earliest use of the name “Czechia” in English?
Comment by Anton Sherwood — December 15, 2006 @ 7:57 pm
Interesting too, that Germany was more sensitive to central European ethnic differences than the West. Even now, school text books sneer at German (ie Nazi) perfidy in dismembering Czechoslovakia, but at the first opportunity they (peacefully) separated into the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Anton – is the Czech Republic now commonly called “Czechia” ?

It’s also funny how Churchill looks kinda like Dick Cheney!
Comment by yorick — April 15, 2007 @ 12:22 am
Kaufman probably came from Czechoslovakia, hence he knew the local (slavic) name for it – Czechia.

Berlin, Poland. How odd does that sound?
Comment by Eric — September 7, 2007 @ 3:56 pm
Berlin, Poland sounds no odder than Breslau, Poland – who’d have believed that in 1938?
Comment by Chris — October 2, 2007 @ 4:34 pm
Berlin, Poland sounds odder, though. For a few centuries in the Middle Ages Breslau/Wroclaw was a part of the Kingdom of Poland and was ethnically Polish.

If you look at a map of central Europe around 900, you’ll notice that the border between Germany and the Slavic nations is right about where it’s been since 1945. Breslau, Danzig, Posen/Poznan and even Krolewiec/Konigsberg/Kaliningrad were all founded as Polish cities, became Germanized in the late Middle Ages and remained so until after WW2.
Interestingly, the names of both Berlin and Leipzig were probably based on Slavic languages, even though they have always been predominantly German.

A plan that was actually launched after the war was the Morgenthau plan, which suggested complete desindustrializing of Germany. However, the suffering this caused convinced the Allies to scrap it and launch the Marshall plan instead. Apparently, politicians at that time were able to be moved by peoples’ suffering – an ability they now seem to have lost. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgenthau_plan

[...] * A genuine example of a map forged by the Nazis forged for propaganda purposes is this map of South America (#250). A genuine map, drawn up by an American Jew and twisted around by the Nazis for propaganda purposes is one of an ‘extinguished’ Germany (#50). [...]

Is it my imagination, or are Roosevelt and Churchill depicted as having “hooked noses” (a stereotypical portrayal of Jews, especially around this time in history especially by the Nazis)? Stalin isn’t depicted at a good angle to see if he has a hooked nose, and strangely, Kaufman doesn’t seem to have one (the only true Jew on there!)

[...] During most of the first half of the 20th century, Germany was seen by much of the rest of the world as a rogue state in the heart of Europe, its incorrigible belligerence a problem not only to be defeated but also to be eradicated – somehow. Inevitably, some on the lunatic fringe called for wiping Germany off the map — literally. One such plan was discussed earlier on this blog (#123). [...]

Who writes history? Don’t you think Churchill was an evildoer as well, with the Dresden Holocaust(a real one, not made up with fake ‘gas chambers’, shrunken heads, human soap, and human skin lampshades and other Zionist calumnies), and his Jewish backers pushing him to start WWII?
Comment by anarchore — December 14, 2008 @ 5:42 pm
Yes quite right. Churchill, Roosevelt, and Truman were all 33rd degree Freemasons, and were war criminals. The fire bombing of innocent civilians in Dresden was a burnt offering to their god, Lucifer, just as the nuking of Japan was. They bombed Nagasaki, the only Christian town in Japan and used the cathedral (the oldest in the orient) as the target.

John wrote: >Breslau, Danzig, Posen/Poznan and even Krolewiec/Konigsberg/Kaliningrad were all founded as Polish cities, became Germanized in the late Middle Ages and remained so until after WW2.< This is totally wrong. This description is based on falsifications that were claimed by polish chauvinists. Breslau for example was founded by a viking prince called Dago who’s wife spoke german. Germanic tribes lived in central europe as far as the vistula river before the attack of the huns triggered the migration of the peoples. During the next 100 years some slavic and viking tribes settled in the area, that was left by the germanic tribes. After that the new colonisation of the east began and citys where founded according to german law. The former Viking town, Breslau, accepted german law in 1261. Königsberg was founded by teutonic knights about 1350. Only Danzig and Posen can be seen as slavic founded settlements, but not all slavic tribes are ancestors of Poles. This is what polish chauvinists not want to admit. See the book: Poland from the inside. Author: B. De Colonna.

Postscript: Königsberg was founded 1286, confirming to Magdeburgian law (Magdeburg is a town in the middle of Germany).

As this is a strictly geographical site, can we please leave out the conspiracy theories, they detract from what are actually interesting maps with their unstabstiated claims (I could come with just as much evidence to prove that the entire planet is in fact the deranged imaginings of a space-beetle from a small planet near Sirius as there is available that the bombing of Dreseden was a burnt offering to Lucifer).
