The United Nations or similarly sinister institutions aspiring to global dominance play the starring role in quite a few conspiracy theories, the basic premisse of which is that there is a secret plot to abolish the national sovereignty of all the world’s countries and install some sort of world government. One variant of that theory, discussed in #286, shows a world dominated by a small number of states, among which an expanded USA, within the framework of a New World Order.
This secret map here, stencilled for added clandestinity, shows another option: a world where expanded spheres of influence have been replaced by total interdependence, with national armies policing places far away from home. Only in North America are the ‘peacekeeping’ armies clearly labelled:
- Canada would be policed by Mongolian, German and Russian troops.
- The Irish army would be stationed in the Pacific states of the US.
- The Midwest would be patrolled by the Belgian army.
- The Russians would police the South of the US
- Colombian and Venezuelan troops would patrol the Northeast of the US.
- Mongolian troops would be stationed in Mexico.
There’s a bit of explanation on how this would work, under the title: WORLD GOVERNMENT PLAN – ALIENS TO POLICE U. S. A.
This map, adopted in 1952 in London by the World Association of Parlementarians for World Government, shows what alien troops would occupy and police the six regions into which the United States and Canada would be divided.
The ruling body or World Parliament would consist only of appointed members. It would reflect population-strengths; so Asia would dominate it.
There would be a World Director, 8 zone directors and 51 regional directors. None of the zone or regional directors would ever serve in their own countries. So an alien (i.e. a non-national, not an actual extraterrestrial, ed.) would command troops stationed in the U.S. and through them enforce World Government Law, and prevent Americans from “sheltering behind national allegiance”.
On the side of the map, a note further explains:
This is the world troop map. Don’t let it scare you. It is presented here to show that the planning has been extensive, and of long-standing, to place the U.S.A. under a world army-police system. By stopping the funding to the United Nations and cancelling the “United Nations Participation Act of 1945 (and amendments) we could literally “pull the plug” on the whole world government apparatus. Public law 87-297 should also be repealed which is the cause of our bases being closed and our armed forces being merged with the Russian and Chinese armies.
It’s a bit puzzling that a plot so sinister, the planning for which has been so extensive, could be stopped simply by repealing a few laws, and by ending US funding of the UN. Another weakness of the conspiracy theory is that there doesn’t seem to be or ever have been a World Association of Parliamentarians for World Government.
But the Pugwash Movement, mentioned in the first text box, does seem to exist, and does seem to be concerned with worldwide disarmament; their website does not mention the arrest, trial and execution of anyone resisting disarmament. But then they wouldn’t be that stupid, would they?
Thanks to Darko Stanicic (sounds like a real Region 55 name) for sending in this map.

Any idea when this map was created?

Contrary to the post, there seems to be abundant evidence on the web for the one-time existence of the World Association of Parliamentarians for World Government; it is mentioned on the official website of the British Parliament, for example; and there’s a copy of the programme of a conference it sponsored in 1955. Dipping into The Times electronic database, I can likewise find a number of mentions of the group, 8 in total between 1951 and 1961.
Comment by Brett — August 3, 2008 @ 1:51 pm
@ Cartophiliac:
Nope; obviously post-1952, as that date is mentioned in the text, and not *very* recent, by the rather primitive look and feel of the map and lettering… But no further clue.

It’s funny the sheer size of the area supposed to be policed by the Belgians. I guess countries were sort of picked at random really.

Should be later than the 1965 publication date of Duane Thorin’s book and earlier than the 1971 transformation of East Pakistan to Bangladesh.

Have you noticed how the British Isles is region 51 – clearly a coded reference to the “51st state” soubriquet often attaching to the UK.
Clearly this is a careful double-bluff by US imperialists!
(Actually the whole numbering system is interesting, and frankly inexplicable:
10 for Australsia
20 for Africa
30 for S. America
40 for the Arctic
50 for Europe
60 for N. America
70 for southern Asia
80 for northern Asia
Europe is so complex that three digits have to be used in places.)

I’m reminded of the Risk map with the arbitrary boundaries in Russia and Africa…
And other things too. Why does region 41 exist? How many people live in Northern Greenland/Northern Siberia? Region 71, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey? That should work out really well…
The irony might be the fact that there now is a large Colombian minority in northeastern cities…although no army, as far as I know

Could this be the source of this map
http://www.libertygunrights.com/documents.html. A link to this map is in the ‘General and Complete Disarmament of U.S.A.’ section. Another document in this section credits The National Economic Council of New York City for the map and research. Finally, there is a more detailed colour map showing the state by state effects of the deployment (http://www.libertygunrights.com/ForeignTroopMap.pdf).
I can’t believe I spent this much time on this!

Damn, what did Canada do to deserve Russians, Germans AND Mongolian troops?
That being said, this new gianormous Canadian army could easily take out the Belgians in the US Midwest.
The Pugwashians do seem to be relying pretty heavily on Mongolia. Last I checked they had an army of about 9000 troops (some of whom were in Iraq, no less — http://chicagoboyz.net/archives/1751.html ).
But maybe the alien overloads have access to some sort of time machine and these are the old-school Mongols — welcome back, Genghis!
Comment by johnny0 — August 3, 2008 @ 7:07 pm
Do the Belgians get some sort of compensation for having their army occupy an area dozens of times larger than its own borders?
Can we expect the Midwest to be run like the Congo?
Will an Ireland entirely occupied by the same foreign army inflame or quell tensions in Ulster (this map probably predates the Troubles)?

I’d write this off entirely mostly because I’m not afraid of some typewriter-created document (if it was for real it’d be in PDF), save that there’s been a lot of “UFO” and “alien” buzz in the media in the past several weeks… like the Vatican announcement about the possibility of alien life, and the recent NYTimes (yes really) OpEd piece about the need to increase our security in face of flying saucers (though frankly if they’ll publish Thomas Friedman’s work, they’ll publish anything).

A “conspiracy theory” implies that a bunch of fat, white old men from Britain and from the USA gather for secret meetings plotting world government. Except for the Bilderbergers, the meetings are not secret. Hence, no “conspiracy theory.” Plans for world government are not secret.
What is the purpose of the CFR, the Trilateral Commission, the Bilderbergers, NAFTA, WTO, and CAFTA? Is funding the UN even constitutional? Why is world government needed? What conditions would be necessary for foreign troops to occupy the USA?
Comment by bourgeoisie pig — August 4, 2008 @ 6:22 pm
Yeah Marc, that’s kind of my point. Maybe degenerate was the wrong word, how about simply disappointment?
It is a waste of money because nothing gets done. Its like giving your kid tutors, sending him to the best privates schools, etc. and then they decide they’d rather get high, debate with friends and watch tv instead of going out and changing the world. That’s basically the extent of the UN, argue, get nothing done, and stand by in countries as stuff happens on its own. You’re damn right it’s no danger!
We (USA) don’t control the UN. It would probably be a bit more productive (not that our government is a great comparison) and people wouldn’t be saying its a waste of money. China and Russia don’t generally high five the UK, USA and France on veto decisions, which would be the best way to gauge “controlling” the UN.

I basically agree with you. but to say one good thing about the UN, there might have been much more wars in the same time period if it hadn’t been established.
…anyway, the United Nations and especially the Security Council need to be reformed. so that they can promote peace more effectively, waste less money and don’t meddle with things that are not of their concern.

http://www.libertygunrights.com/ForeignTroopMap.pdf
Doing the math, I find that the Belgian Army (24,361 military personnel) occupying the states it is intended to control (1,161,681 square miles) will have to cover almost 48 square miles per man, including noncombatants (cooks and clerks, aides, etc.) Those Belgians will be doing a lot of driving!

This is the second site where I’ve seen this map discussed and both play up the “America run by foreigners” angle but ignore the fact that the entire world would be run that way or present it as inconsequential. You think I want Mongolians and Germans running the show here? Why is it OK to toss around the idea of stripping away billions of people’s rights, but get your back up when it’s about you?

Why does the comparatively lightly populated Canada get two of the hugest militaries in the world (Russia and Germany) while the highly populated U.S. gets a number of smaller countries armies? Seriously, who thought it was a good idea?
Anyway, the U.S. is way more imperialist than the U.N. ever could be, and a lot of the problems with the U.N. are, in fact, caused by the fact that the U.S. doesn’t allow them to do a lot of things. I’d be pretty happy if the current U.S. administration was tried in the International Criminal Court, but, of course, the U.S. hasn’t even ratified the ICC… I wonder why?
BTW, I’m American. I’m very against world government, but the U.N. is required, and I think it should be bigger and more powerful, if anything. Without it, we all just go back to the 19th century, internationally speaking; which is to say, constant wars between first world countries.

This one is a very smart anti-UN tract, didn’t you noticed??
That’s very clever: it doesn’t tell realy what it is about, but gives you the confuse idea that any global organisation is ridiculous, and dangerous for your freedom.
Those guys, who ever they are, were very visionnaire with communication techniques. But their vision is clearly outdated: with all energetic and environmental issues today, we NEED a way to address issues globally. How could we say that with a map??
